We love the challenge of providing wine pairings for NoTakeOut.com because we think about wine first-and-foremost as part of a meal, and as the ideal accompaniment for good food.
At heart we are Slow-Food-type consumers – we love good artisanal products made by small producers, using indigenous materials, traditional methods, and minimal technical intervention. We started our business in 2001 in large part because there was no shop offering a focused selection of this type of wine; at the time it was almost a secret thing with just a few people interested. The secret is out now, which is a wonderful thing for the support and growth of the wines involved. We offer over 500 organic, biodynamic, and natural wines, along with classics like mature Bordeaux and Barolo. At the moment we have a really great staff – every one a wine lover, every one a food lover. We are always tasting new wines, trying to improve and refine our selection; it’s an exciting time, with more and more wine of interest everyday.
